About the Artist:

R2 is a versatile Filipino autodidact artist, active member of ARTVII, and an internationally recognized professional hairdresser who serves as the Vice President of Asia for the Asia Hairdesigner Association (AHA) in Shanghai. Starting his career in 2004, he won the Schwarzkopf's Philippine Hairdressing awards in 2006, represented the country in the Asia Hairdressing Awards in 2007, and became a Schwarzkopf PH Brand Ambassador, often integrating his training as an actor and performer into dramatic hair shows. Drawing inspiration from his hometown Angono, Filipino culture, and travels, his visual art—which combines brushes, palette knives, and fabrics—has been featured in international shows like "Mosaicografia 2016" in Brazil and numerous local exhibits with ARTVII, including those at the Manila Clock Tower Museum, demonstrating his commitment to articulating his creativity across diverse media.
