About the Artist:
Dino Blanco is a Post-Impressionist painter and regional arts advocate born in Angono, Rizal, whose early exposure to art, particularly religious motifs, shaped his foundational practice before he pursued formal training at the University of Santo Tomas for Fine Arts and the Philippine School of Interior Design (PSID). His distinct artistic style is characterized by a bold, contemporary post-impressionism, featuring architectural compositions, deep tonal saturation, and a dynamic, tactile quality achieved through expressive palette-knife techniques. Blanco's work predominantly focuses on themes of rural livelihood and outdoor living, depicting scenes of everyday Filipino workers—such as fisherfolk and agricultural laborers—to highlight the dignity of labor, cultural continuity, and the deep connection between people and the land.
